Deutsches Werkzeugmuseum

Everything from Stone Age tools through to the industrial revolution’s advances and right up to highly modern manufacturing techniques – the Deutsche Werkzeugmuseum (German Tool Museum) in Remscheid is the first and only museum of its kind in Germany. And in contrast to other museums, visitors can not only marvel at exhibits displayed in this building with its mixture of historical and modern architecture, but they can also actually grasp the pieces on display. You can hold a conference in the bright rooms next to a monumental steam engine, and while having a break take delight in the world’s first arc-furnace.
